The facility is a 28,250-square foot pre-engineered metal building with a glazed curtain wall/aluminum entrance with rolling doors and features:
· 2 lane walking track surrounds the courts, featuring protective netting to provide a safe space at all times
· 2 full-size basketball/multi-sport courts each with six adjustable baskets (basketball, volleyball, and electronic scoreboard); retractable bleacher seating
· 2 drop-down batting tunnels
· 2 multi-purpose activity rooms for fitness and aerobic classes
· Strength and Cardio Room (375 sq. ft.)
· Locker rooms, restrooms, a spacious reception/lobby area and administrative offices
Included in the project was extensive site work to the former St. Dominic Savio Center, a retreat for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence. This work provided new parking areas, an entry plaza and sidewalks, site lighting, fencing and reconstruction of stone walls, as well as walking paths connecting to nearby Town tennis courts, recreational and athletic fields, dog park, hiking areas and the Senior Center.
This Project was Winner of the 2017 “Award of Excellence” from All Steel Structures Inc
